This Is Our Manifesto
Sítio Amazônia was created not only as a sanctuary for nature, but also as a space for learning and scientific exploration. Because we can only truly protect what we understand, we are committed to welcoming those who seek to uncover the secrets of the Amazon rainforest.
We enthusiastically welcome any scientific or academic collaboration, including:
field observations,
biodiversity studies,
ecosystem dynamics research,
species monitoring programs,
or environmental education and awareness projects.
Located less than two hours from Manaus, along the AM-240 road, Sítio Amazônia offers the perfect balance of wilderness immersion and logistical accessibility. Spanning over 70 hectares, it encompasses a mosaic of natural habitats — dense forest, wetlands, and regenerating areas — that reflect the living complexity of the Amazon.
Upcoming facilities (eco-lodges, trails, lightweight infrastructure) will make the site research-friendly, while ensuring the forest remains untouched.
We are open to exploring proposals from:
universities,
research institutes,
independent laboratories,
or environmental field projects.
This forest doesn’t belong to us alone. It is a refuge for life, and a field of exploration for those who seek to understand — not to dominate.
